Quan Yin ~ State Your Purpose
“It is I, Quan Yin.
Stating your purpose is as important as what it is that you are about to do. In other words, knowing why you are about to do something will give you a tremendous amount of clarity. So stating your purpose makes you aware of your purpose for doing whatever it is you are about to do.
Knowing your desired outcome can help you tremendously in determining whether or not that activity is the most appropriate one for you in the moment. It may not even be necessary, but you won’t know that unless you are aware of your purpose for doing it.
When you do something for the purpose of joy, fulfillment, or knowing yourself better, that is usually when you have the best outcome. Whenever you are aware of your purpose for doing something, you are bound to be more present in the doing of it.
Now, there may not actually be a purpose that you can find for doing something, and that would mean that you are simply following an impulse that is coming from your intuition. So having no purpose for doing something is actually better than having a purpose that is all about getting somewhere or something.
Your actions serve you when they have meaning to you, or when they are coming from that deep place inside of you that moves you towards a particular action. But any time you find yourself doing something just to cross it off your list of things to do, or because you believe it will get you a certain result, I suggest that you hold off on that particular action. And instead, go within yourself. Go within yourself and find that which you believe you can only get through a particular action.
I am Quan Yin, and I hold you in my heart.”
